Yesterday was my birthday. It was perfect. We sat on the beach for a very long time, and swam in the sea. For my birthday I got a Lowlands-ticket (from my mom), an electric guitar (from my boyfriend, bloody cute), lots of books and a few DVDs, and even a Marie Antoinette Action Figure with an ejectable head!

Last Friday, Vive la Fête was in Den Haag. So I went to stay with Ben to go to the concert. But firstly, we and Barend ate some kind of rice mixture, and they taught me how to eat with chopsticks. We sat on Ben's "roof terrace", which is actually just the roof, very awesome:

Vive la Fête performed around 10P.M., so it was just starting to get dark, and halfway through the concert it suddenly became one big moshpit. I normally get away as fast as I can when people start getting crazy like that, but this time I decided I'd try and join in, and it was great! I got bruises all over and fell down on the floor once, but otherwise it was fine; I got to know the one rule of a moshpit: always keep jumping. As soon as you stand still, you'll be knocked over, but if you just jump along with the rest you'll be fine.

Today it was incredibly hot, and we went to the beach. We even took a dive in the (cold, cold!) see, so heroic! And I can't believe school is over. I still want to make homework all the time. But I guess when I've done several fun things this and next week, it'll sink in that this school year is over, that I've passed with reasonably good grades, and that I'll be free to do whatever I want for the next eight weeks!

When my sister started up the computer this morning, she noticed something was wrong: half her images were gone. And it was even more wrong than she thought: every single jpeg-image on the second harddisk of the computer was missing. Just like that. Every holiday picture, all my photos of Paris and Rome: gone.
We're afraid it's a virus or something, so the computer will be at the technician's. I might not be able to use the computer for some time, which is crap, not just because I won't be able to blog for some time but also because my birthday is next week and I need the computer to invite everyone!

Yes, I am screwed. Our harddrive has crashed. Luckily my mother has just bought a laptop, so I'm not entirely computerless, but now I have to file in a paper for tomorrow, which is lost. This day is entirely crappy, not just because of the computer thing, but also because of some other stuff I can't be bothered to write down. I can't wait for summer vacation to start. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be drowning my sorrows with lots of iced tea.

het resultaat van Inge hakken aantrekken: ze is lang!

Vandaag was de grote andersomdag, wat een heel simpel concept is: Inge trekt mijn kleren aan, ik die van Inge en we gaan foto's maken. En op die manier werd Inge (die van zichzelf 1.83 is en dus nooit hakken draagt) in 8 centimeter hoge hakken gehesen, en ik me bevond in een loeistrakke G-star skinny (Inge is toch wel net iets smaller dan ik). Maar uiteindelijk was het resultaat prachtig!

En hier meteen de reden dat ik nóóit strakke spijkerbroeken draag: ik word er echt een propje van!

Vandaag heb ik mijn Latijn-schoolexamen gemaakt, het ging best goed. En nu moet ik eigenlijk leren voor twee toetsen én schetsen gaan maken voor mijn schilderij, en ik heb echt geen zin! Gelukkig heb ik wat fijns om naar uit te kijken: morgen komt Inge bij mij en dan gaan we een fotoshoot houden waarbij ik haar in mijn kleren hijs en zij haar kleren aan mij geeft. We gaan ons dus verkleden als elkaar (:

It's a lot more than I thought. However, it's not really a case of shopping a lot; it's more because I never throw anything away, nor does my mom, so I get all her old stuff. I also think it's really funny how I have 18 skirts AND 23 dresses, and only 8 pairs of trousers, of which 5 are shorts. It shows how bad I am at finding trousers, I think!
