wishlist number 02

Every time when I think that winter's finally over and spring is truly under way, the sky blurts out another snowstorm or blizzard or rainy day and all my hopes vanish again. So to cure my winter blues, here's part two of the spring wishlist:
2

Yes, stripes. God, how original! But I've developed some sort of obsession with sailor tee shirts lately. Somehow when I picture my ideal summer outfits (a very satisfying pastime on snowy afternoons spent in classrooms), they often involve stripey things of some sort. And they seem to have an unparalelled ability to add a sort of stylishness to a very simple outfit. So I will definitely be wearing a lot of stripes this summer. And now I've mentioned the word 'stripes' too often and my brain does that thing when you begin to doubt if it's even an actual word. So it's time to move on to pictures:

Ah, sundresses. You can never, ever have enough of those, and yet they are anything but casual. I'm very much looking forward to buying as many floaty, flowered, sweet-looking, polkadotted, pastel-coloured or adorable dresses as my budget allows.

ramblings

1. I wish my hair looked like this all the time.
2. I had started to hate the winter, until yesterday the sun shone and I walked over a crispy layer of newly fallen snow and I noticed that sunlight makes snow glitter. It was very pretty. Today the snow had melted and it was freezing and I passionately hate winter again.
3. When I still had spare time (a mere six months ago) I never had money to buy anything. Now I'm getting quite rich, and I haven't had the time to shop in ages. Or time to go anywhere nice, really.
4. I would very much like it to be 1968 right now. We would all call ourselves free spirits and go on road trips in a painted bus and change the world and fall in love, and everybody would look awesome.
5. I love everything about this video.
6. Why has Gossip Girl suddenly stopped in the Netherlands? We weren't even halfway season 3. Look at this Chuck Bass tee at Flying Saucer, the blog of the very cool Selina. Though I'm normally opposed to shirts screaming "Fangirl!", I sort of want this one.
7. I would wear red lipstick all the time if I wasn't constantly afraid it will smudge all over my chin / on my collar / into my lunch / on other people's clothes.
8. I may have to find a French man to make babies with at some point, because then I could raise them to speak French and they would be THIS ADORABLE:

9. "Education is an admirable thing. But it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught." Do you think that if I quote Oscar Wilde to my teachers, they'd let me skip class? Probably not. At least it'd make me look smart.
10. I NEED NEW SHOES.

Good night!

Coeur de Pirate
I have completely fallen in love with Coeur de Pirate's music. I first found out about her via my sister, who said she liked the singer's hair. Coeur de Pirate is the alias of a Canadian girl named Béatrice Martin, who currently has a hit named 'Comme des Enfants' (see below) and who is quite popular in France as well as Canada. She also makes the most adorable, dreamy music that I'm listening to contstanly. Like, literally constantly. Even when I'm sleeping. These are currently my favourites:

number one:

I've always loved shorts, of course - i mean, who doesn't? But this spring I have developed a completely new fondness for them. They are so much more convenient with bare legs than short skirts, especially when you live in Holland and have to ride a bike all the time and aren't a fan of flashing people your underwear. Shorts are cute, they make your legs look super long and I'm definitely buying several pairs of them as soon as it gets a bit warmer - the high-waisted fifties variant as well as maybe a denim pair with studs?

Choosing is hard. So I let you guys do it for me. Which of the above do you like more?

And when you've picked one, tell me: would you like anything changed? The text removed? A different font? Do you hate them both and which that would have been an option in the poll?
